Attorney John Brittain
As a native Nutmegger, who was born and raised in Norwalk, and a former professor at the University of Connecticut School of Law for twenty-two years, I wholeheartedly endorse Cliff Thornton's candidacy for Governor of the State of Connecticut on the Green Party slate.

Claire Sauer, former CT State Representative (D-Lyme)
I commend Cliff Thornton’s efforts to focus Connecticut’s attention on the need to examine our current drug policies. The major political parties appear to shy away from discussing a more compassionate approach involving treating drug addiction as much a medical problem as a criminal problem, for fear of appearing "soft on crime." It is time for someone to say the emperor has no clothes: THE DRUG WAR IS ENORMOUSLY EXPENSIVE AND IT HAS NOT REDUCED DRUG ABUSE OR ADDICTION. What it has done is increase our prison population to a frightening degree. Our prisons are not rehabilitation facilities - they produce more hardened criminals.

I believe Cliff Thornton realizes his Green Party candidacy for Governor is not likely to result in his being elected as our chief executive officer. His candidacy is, however, providing a vital function, by making people think about where our current drug policies are taking us.
